ABOUT

Growing up in Florida and living abroad in Europe, having the ability to move around became a strong suit of mine early on as it has allowed me to explore new ideas and techniques. Being surrounded by old and new architecture, as well as many cultures and people, my interpretation of my everyday life began to broaden.  It is because of that that I have also began incorporating various materials into my work to express my environment, with the biggest influence being gestural movement. I write down my observations, create quick sketches, and then quickly put it down onto canvas while the ideas are fresh. The artwork represents my ideal state of mind of going with the flow and not being caught up on all the details. If one medium or material does not suit my project, I incorporate whatever I find. From my work, I seek to develop my techniques through the materials I use and see how they all come together.
